Hey everyone!!
Glad to see you're all having fun posting here:):) My sincere thanks goes out to every one of you who were smart enough to know better and be able to see through all of the editing that FOX did on the TV show the other night:):)
The Thomas family was so wonderful,,,and the first 5 minutes of the show was how the entire 5 days were with them...Laughing, talking about college with the boys, talking to Tiana about cheerleading, listening to Kirk share his fishing stories, listening to the boys play the piano, taking walks, helping to set up a routine for Tiana at the gym she belonged to, inviting their friends and hosting a party with them, feeding the chickens every night, etc....We even went on a fishing trip where Kirk taught me how to fly fish, and I even got to work in their seafood store and meet all of their customers!! The entire time I kept saying that it was so much fun, and felt like I was back on the farm in Iowa....
For those of you who are not familiar with how the television world works, or have no experience with this,,,,,,the fact that the we all got along so well is why the show appeared a little disjointed...Many people told me it was sort of boring....That's because FOX could use very little of the footage they shot,,,,simply because there was no controversey to pull from any of their tapes....In other words,,,we got along too well....After all of the editing, cutting, and splicing by the director, the show ended up with an unclear story line....The exact same thing happened on the other end, back at my house in New York...There was very little controversey....They didn't show Tracey training my clients in the gym, on the phone talking to my life coaching clients, or even flying to our beach houses and swimming in the ocean as she did, because AGAIN,,it was just to normal....Sadly, my 2 sons who are normal, all American boys, were left with nothing more than an occasional 2 second cameo......
Simply put, we feel that the screeners at FOX picked the wrong 2 families..It is not very interesting to watch ten people who all like each other, to experience a one week "mix and match vacation".....
Unfortunately, we all know that ratings are ratings in the television world, and although what you saw Wednesday night was actual footage, the way they arranged it would certainly leave a viewer with a very different impression of what actually occurred. After the final credits rolled, it was very obvious that I am the one who had to pay the price, as I was made out to be the bad one, but that's ok,,,,,as I would rather it be me being made fun of, than my family...
If you've taken the time to read the home page of my website, or read the "My Story" page on this website, I would be very surprised if any of you would continue to post the negative, mean comments you have about me....Please try to get pass the issues you may have with modeling, as I realize that not everyone agrees with it...Just try to understand that when I am not in front of the camera, I am in the gym, helping others get in shape, helping others be happy about themselves, talking to people over the phone trying to help others pursue their dreams and passions, by sharing the ups and downs I had to go through myself....I am not a self centered, one dimensional person,as it might have appeared in the show.....What I am,,,is a simple, down to earth farm gal from the Midwest, who has simply, worked very hard to live her dream.... Along the way, I have helped many people, and have always been very thankful to all of the wonderful people and friends who have helped me...
Thanks again to everyone, and I hope this makes things a bit more clear.....
